Happy New Year!!!!

Oh yeah, that was 3 months ago, I guess I am a little late on that one. Seems like once I hit 100K GS I just forgot about this place. Well, due to some interesting people I have been gaming with, I will be trying to get back into this blog.

Well here is the short version of the update I am going to give you:

Hand of Thrawn Boosting Alliance
January - Wolfenstein .... Still not finished

February - Frontlines + Turning point... Multiplayer finished but havent even started single player.

March - Fracture Oddly enough working on it as I type this.

I also started a race to 150K with Kwey516. He started ahead of me and I passed him up in Feb by about 1000 GS and now he is ahead of me due to me playing Final Fantasy 13. We expect one of us will hit our goal around June. I plan on winning this thing but Kwey seems determined about pulling his trigger... whatever that means.

For now that ends my update I will start posting more and updating my list of games at the bottom.

PC Games on Deman plus 105,000 and more

First of all, I have finally passed the 105,000 point threshold. Although its not a major milestone it does not go unrecognized. This is so due to the lack of motivation to play a certain game. I have noticed that every once in a while, when I do not know what to play... I will play a lot of arcade games old and new, even though I still have Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 unfinished and Left 4 Dead 2 untouched (anyone wanna play these with me?).

While playing arcade games I have added some new ones including Worms 2 Armageddon and Secret of Monkey Island. Both games are a ton of fun for arcade games. Aside from that you can also include Tinker, Osmosis, and Wheres Waldo. This is all thanks to the all new Games on Demand for PC. I have taken a better use for my computer recently and I am not going to lie but it is good to game with your mouse every once in a while... especially with Osmosis. Wheres Waldo? seems to be very kiddish but brings you back to the good ole days anyway. Tinker itself was free so who can complain about free?

I guess this week itself has been a busy day... In less than a weeks time the boosting group I have joined will start their first game on the turn of the new year. I have once again signed up to Gamefly and will start playing Wolfenstein. I'm very gracious to be part of the group and would like to thank ThrawnOmega for letting me be in the Hand of Thrawn Boosting Alliance.

Ok so to wrap this up I will update my achievement list at the bottom and would like to wish all my readers a very Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!!!

Oodles of Fun

Hey everyone, it has been a month since my last post and about 3000 gamerscore since them... Last you heard from me I was on the verge of getting to 100k GS well, to let you know I did manage to pass it that very day by completing WWE Legens of Wrestlemania.

On a side note, I have been slowing down my achievement scoring to attempt to complete a few games in its entirety. such as CoD2, Gears of War 2, and Banjo Kazooie.
My most recent completion has been Assassins Creed 2 but I have been working on DJ Hero and only have the last 2 achievements left.... they are near impossible. (5 stars on every track on Hard and Expert). I guess I have to practice to get that now. Asside from that theres not much else to talk about. I will definitely try to come up with better things to talk about on this blog even though not many people read it anyway, but you never know.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!! Hope yours doesn't lead you to working on black friday.

Shy of 100K

Ok so as I am writing this I sit at 99994 Gamerscore. No real way Im going to hit it at 100K now but still an achievement in itself to reach this point. I am very glad of this and it looks like the game that will make me pass this will be WWE Legends of Wrestlemania or Borderlands.

On other news... my computer had overheated so I was litterally without a computer for about a week. Not too much fun, but I did manage to fix it last night. For anyone who cares, my processor chip overheated due to having dust stuck under the fan. No real damanage but I am sure glad to have it back again.

Back to gaming, although I am playing WWE Legends, Brutal Legend has taken a lot of my time. It is a genuinely fun game to play, its a shame I am only missing one serpernt to get 2 of the most annoying achievements.(120 serpernts collected & 100% stats). None the less I am sure I will put it in again to find that last one... Wish me luck!!!!

Oh and I will update my list at the bottom some time tonight.

Is it too soon to call it quits?

Unfortunately, one of the main reasons I haven't kept up to date with this blog is because of other commitment I have made such as school, work, and the race in gamerscore to reach 6 digits by my birthday. It is now less than a week away and I am still 4500 points away. Dont know if I can reach that goal anymore by that time, only time will tell.

This past month I have been working on getting to my backlog... and it goes as far back as Call of Duty 2 which is still in progress. I also had to play the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection from scratch again since my save was previously corrupted and I now have 1000 in that game. I did get some of the Sonic arcades just to keep my mind sane, but the main game right now for me is Halo 3 ODST. Even though I hate Halo 3, I found to actually enjoy ODST enough to bother for the achievements. I might also go back to Halo to see if I can finish the mythic achievements.
I will be planning on finishing Call of Duty 2, HSM3 Dance Monopoly and Hot Wheels in the next few days... Wish me luck.

Aug 27, 2009

The race continues

As I posted last time, my main goal has been to reach 100,000 GS by my next birthday. Well in order for me to see where I stand I believe I should have 90,000 by the end of this month, which is very doable. Problem is, how on earth am I going to get the last 10K when I still have to go to work and school? Makes things interesting thats for sure. Aside from that, a co-worker has also wagered a pizza party for me if I reach my goal. Keeping that in mind, he isnt too hopeful that I will make it.

On another note, I have been busying myself in other things to keep my list updated but off the top of my head I have completed many games including and not limited to:

Madden NFL 10
3 on 3 NHL
Jericho
and Lego Batman

I will be updating the list soon for those who follow it as well as my own personal reasons.

I will leave you guys with that note as well as a working on list in case you want to hop in and help me out. I will be working on the following games:

Batman Arkham Asylum
Viva Pinata PC
Lego Indiana Jones
Gears of War 2
Gears of War (maybe)
and if any of my readers would like to help me get gamerscore on a game I do not have listed on here please feel free to send me a message on xbox live.

Achievement Luist Updated

So now that GSL is over for us, I have decided to commit to do a little clean up on my games list... I will be spending a good amount of time in the next couple of weeks to finish up some games weather it be boosting the online achievements in dead games or just getting that last hard to get achievement.

Games to Complete:
Ski-Doo Challenge (480/1000)
Cabela's African Safari (10/1000) I cant believe I left this one at 10
Carcassonne (175/200) just need about 3000 more tiles... shouldnt be that long
Banjo Kazooie (855/1250) I bought the DLC and I need to get those online achievements as well
Guitar Hero Aerosmith (820/1000) Anyone want to go through the setlist twice with me?
Prince Caspian (10/1000) Another game I left with only 10 points
Leisure Suit Larry (100/1000)
SoF Payback (60/1000) I need to boost these online apparently

I am sure there is many more but thats all I can find for now... I will keep it updated for all my readers.

Goal 1 Completed and New Goal Pending

At some point between this post and my last post, I put up a goal on trueachievements.com to reach a six digit gamerscore by my next birthday which will be on October 3rd. My current gamerscore is set to 80,094 which yes... my first goal is completed which was to pass the 80,000 mark. I am very excited to set myself up for this challenge as I know I will fullfill it with little hardship. GSL @ Console Heroes has really helped me gain gamerscore very much and will leave a lot of games that are going to need to be completed.

Speaking of GSL, I am proud to announce that our team is within playoff range and will hopefully go against some of the fiercest teams I have ever seen. Still, I know that everyone in the team is going to give it their best shot to make it to the playoffs, if not then it will be a shame but still an honor to play with these people. Next post will probably be at the end of GSL along with future planning in gaming.

oh and achievement list updated.

GSL Update

Ok so I have been busy with GSL and work all at the same time. I am happy to announce that on the first week while I was out our team outscored Stallion83's team by about 200 points giving us a double win for the week. Also, that put us in first place after one week. Unfortunately, I did not play that week due to not having internet for half the weekend.

Second week of GSL, I did paticipate. We competed against the Lolers (Apple x360a's Team) and The Achievement Zombies. Hate to say it but they were both in last place after week 1 and weren't much competition at all. We scored a little over 4k but we ended up with a 2K lead. Unfortunately, the scoring also means we are now in 2nd place since our other opponents will be beating us with points.

Thats it for the update, I will have more as the competition continues and you can always contact me on this blog, Xbox Live, or on Skype if you want to chat up with me or play some games.

BACK!!!!

So after long and overdue absence, I have finally come back. Where was I? Well, I went without internet for a couple of weeks. No connection to the online world and worst of all no connection to Xbox Live. I have been tortured before but this was truly grueling for more than just a couple of reasons.

As you all know I had mentioned I would be participating in a GSL at ConsoleHeroes.com and had a team to compete with. Well, the competition has begun, and due to my absence, I had to sit out the first weekend. Although that was the case, I am pleased to announce that the other team members are doing a marvelous job staying in the lead in the first round for now. I have been preparing for this event for a while and know that we do stand a chance together. The new World order is here.
I will be keeping this blog updated on the GSL events and will be posting all the games I play so visit back often.

For now that is all since I have to take care of some other things online, but fear not I will be on soon enough.

Starting to get ready

These past few days have been dreary, not only was I attending my uncles funeral (may he rest in peace) I was stuck in Mexico with no cell phone or Internet. I was unable to stay current with most things and missed the first day of E3 completely. I am now back and on to preparing for GSL #5 at ConsoleHeroes.com.

The preparations by me are underway and my teammates already and I have a slew of games ready since I have only gained 500 points in the last month or so. The team is as follows:

new World order
I worry about this coming GSL only because the person in charge of running everything isn't really there as much as he should. I mean sign ups are now closed, but the final rosters have not been updated. I am curious as to how this will work.

Would you have any suggestions on how to strategize this GSL? any games that you would recommend to me? Let me know!!!!

NEWS!!!!

Ok as you can tell, I obviosuly haven't had the time to come in and write a blog. Even now I dont really have the time for it but I am doing it anyway. I have been busy with another project of mine that I am holding near and dear to me.

If you haven't been to UFragtv.com then I really suggest you go to it ASAP and check it out. Its a very nice site that will allow you to broadcast (Live) any game through a webcam or a capture device. I myself have been broadcasting a lot lately which means I have spent a lot of time gathering equptment together and learning how to use it and assemble it. I will be starting a podcast type show in the very near future called 360 Gamerscore. I would like to encourage everyone to watch it when I post it up and see what you think.

The show will consist of a variety of subjects that relate to GamerScore i.e. Gamesaving hacks, glitching, easy achievements, and maybe have a friendly community challenge. The topics are limitless and dont think I am cutting you out either, you can participate as well. since the broadcast will be live, not only can you chat with me through text but you will also have a way of calling in through skype. As the show goes into development I will announce more... but if you are reading this let me know what you think so far.

On another note, I have also signed up for the GSL at Console Heroes. I am very excited as this is my first GSL and I am competeting with some very reliable people. We might have a shot at it who knows. Of course I will be broadcasting it all on Ufragtv.com and will update my blog even more often. Team name is NWO or New World Order... not my choice of name.

Wish me luck!!!!

Lack of Updates

So I have been slacking obviously, but then again I havent really played much this whole month due to family issues and work. Even so I am still trying to get my last Left 4 Dead Achievement and most of my Resident Evil 5 (need an achievement buddy for it) BUT alas I did complete Wanted: Weapons of Fate which I thought was a very good game overall. My list at the bottom will be updated very soon.

On another note I would all of you to check out LaGtv.com and Ufragtv.com

I will be regularly broadcasting my games on Ufragtv under the show name "360GS Achievement Hunter" and will soon get 360 Gamerscore up and running so everyone can enjoy that show as well. Let me know you are on there and chat with me..

What next?

No significant gain in gamerscore recently and no real desire to play much of anything really... Can someone recommend something to get me into gamerscore again?

Oh yeah, I am constantly updating the list at the bottom with my achievements as well as a new background to the blog... let me know what you guys think.

Avoiding games?

Yeah, I know. You would not think that a GamerScore Whore would be avoiding games. Well get this, I have been. There have been a lot of things I have been doing recently between taking on new projects to just going to work. These new projects have been keeping me quite busy as well.

There hasn't really been much gaming but I have gotten into a couple of games and I just must give you my personal opinion:

Resident Evil 5 (8.5/10): Game is great and as always a wonderful storyline to it, but does the AI always have to be stupid when she is an ally? It is definitely something you have to play more with a co-op partner.

Eat Lead The Return of Matt Hazzard (5/10): WTF!!!!! Really!!! Whats the point of this game? The only reason it got a 5 in my book is because of the easy to attain gamerscore.

Peggle (20/10): OMG!!! an awesome game indeed. I have not played a game this addicting since that helicopter game I found online one day. This game is so much fun just by yourself, doing a score duel with a buddy or even doing the party play with 3 others. Game is so much fun in so many levels and is definitely worth the 10 dollar price. GET IT NOW!!!!

Thats pretty much it. I also want to give a little plug to some up and coming sites since my last post. I would like everyone to check out LaGtv.com and UFraGtv.com as they just launched again a couple of weeks ago. They are a broadcasting site that do their own webshow Tuesdays and Thursdays nights at 8PM Pacific. Great content and great interviews. One thing I always loved about them is that they are there for the community and always give out cool prizes. Check em out and let me know what you think.

UFraGtv will also be the home of 360 GamerScore live webshow when it launches as well... This project is taking a little longer since I need to pay for a couple of things to get it started but I will let you guys know when it comes up!!!!!

Back to Normal

So thankfully I am back to normal and am successfully dual booting XP and Vista due to compatibility of certain programs. With that said, I am also back into gaming.

Disney's Sing It

I have taken myself into the dreaded Disney world... well maybe I just felt like singing. I was actually very surprised at how easy they made this game to adapt to those non-singers and most of the songs are very easy to follow, especially if you know them from watching the Disney movies. I think I will try to pick up the High School Musical 3 Sing it next. Unfortunately for me, I only have one mic so I am trying to get a hold of a 2nd mic so I can finish off the last 5 achievements.

The Bourne Conspiracy is my next game to tackle to get achievement points off of. Although not the best game in the world it is still a little entertaining. We shall see how difficult it holds up to getting the full 1000 points off of it.

Achievement Tip of the Day

So I know I havent dont one of these in a while but here is a small tip for you. Since I have been playing Disney's Sing It, I will share some of the little tips I have gained. First of all, you will need 2 mics momentarily to get ALL the achievements but as far as Duet Mode goes, you can still just sing by yourself on only one mic. Now one of the hardest achievements in this game is the one where you must score 750,000 points on a song in "On your Own" Mode. To do this, I am offering 2 ways to do it:

1)Sing a song in solo mode, and record yourself on your PC (Every Windows OS has a voice recorder and yes you will need a PC mic as well) so you can look at the pitches and play it back while in the mode you are suppose to be in and put the Xbox mic up to your speakers. For some of you that might be painful to hear.

2) The old fashioned way. Learn a song, get good at it and Memorize, Memorize, Memorize. Thats how I did it, but Im also a fan of Camp Rock and High School Musical (Don't judge me!!!)

Woes with XP and so forth

Today I am writing a special blog as I actually write this from my hardly used laptop instead of my desktop PC. Since last night I have been installing Windows XP (to dual boot with Vista x64)and in the process of formatting I ended up falling asleep. Come to find out that I wake up at 6am and it has finished formatting of course and is now asking for my serial number... get this... I lost it :-(.... I spent most of my morning today trying to find it and luckily I did find it but only after restarting my computer hoping I could still use vista... no luck whats-so-ever. No I am once again waiting for XP to install and let me use my computer.

But THATS NOT ALL. I was boosting my Left 4 Dead game over night, (You know the one where you rack up your kills with melee pressed down while a boomer vomits on you) well turns out I did not leave my character in a safe position and well through the time, well I died... no big deal right? WRONG!!!!! since it restarted the level the melee button was cancelled out and did not give activity to my controller so it resetted me to the title menu and ERASED all my kill... When I went to sleep I had already racked up 10,000 kills and now I have to regain them back.

Now on a side note, I have been reading some of the blogs I follow and have noticed some of them doing a GSL competition. I looked around to see what it was and have become very intrigued. I tried finding a team for me to join but no avail. I even tried making a team and no avail. Now I am blogging about it hoping someone will read this and point me in the right direction now. So I leave with this:

If anyone is looking for a hardcore gamerscore teammate for GSL please contact me via this blog or my email at Xylofreak@gmail.com.

Thanks for reading guys!!!!

HUGE UPDATE

Yep, this update is so huge that all the letter even need to be capitalized.

So here is some of the things I am updating you on:

First of all, I have updated my list of achievements at the bottom with the more recent scores, and before you ask, Yes, I did play My Horse and Me 2. Pretty much, I put in about 12,000 gamerscore that has been added over the past 2 weeks.

Secondly, I am please to announce the the Mega Challenge 09 is now officially over. I finished in 5th place out of 221 people. I am very proud as this was my first challenge of many that I participated in. Throughout the whole competition I manages to stay within the top 5 and even taking the #1 spot for a day or 2. I am very proud of the progress I made, especially with a 12,000 GS gain in just 2 weeks. This competition has also made me play some games that I would never have played and found enjoyable including CSI Hard Evidence and MLB series.

Right now my current projects will be to finish 100% all the game I missed one or 2 achievements in, and also finishing Left 4 Dead and FEAR 2 which I just got along with Street Fighter IV.

In reference to the challenge, I would like to thank the amazing support and help from a couple of friends that believed I could do this and kept me going strong through the whole competition.
A VERY BIG THANKS TO:

Busy!!!! Work, Challenge and Achievements

So there has been a very good reason as to why I have not updated this blog in a while, most of you already know why. For those who don't, Mega Challenge 09. I have taken part in this challenge which has taken up most of my time along with work and school. As you can see I have been very busy. I have not updated the scores of achievements at the bottom but will as soon as this challenge is over.

Heres a quick run down on the games I have played:
NBA 2k6
MLB2k6
Smackdown vs RAW 2007
Smackdown vs RAW 2008
Prince of Persia
SEGA Superstar Tennis
My Horse and Me 2
Sonics Ultimate Genesis Collection
Jumper
Left 4 Dead
Lost via Domus
Bolt
CSI Hard Evidence
Avatar

Yeah it is a long list of games I have played with close to 10,000 gamerscore built off from it. I now hold 4th place in that challenge competition after I could not get on one of those days and fell behind. All in all, I am pleased with the way my standing came out in the competition as I have stayed within the top 5 for most of the way including being in the #1 spot for a day... This is the start of a new chapter for me.

Just to reveal a little tip to all who reads, I am very anxious to get together with a website I hold near and dear, LaGtv Networds, to turn this blog into a weekly show hosted by yours truly. I am still awaiting a descision from the network and hope I will be given the opportunity. Tune in and stay with me while I give out updates.

I need a comment... please comment!!!!
