Avoiding games?

Yeah, I know. You would not think that a GamerScore Whore would be avoiding games. Well get this, I have been. There have been a lot of things I have been doing recently between taking on new projects to just going to work. These new projects have been keeping me quite busy as well.

There hasn't really been much gaming but I have gotten into a couple of games and I just must give you my personal opinion:

Resident Evil 5 (8.5/10): Game is great and as always a wonderful storyline to it, but does the AI always have to be stupid when she is an ally? It is definitely something you have to play more with a co-op partner.

Eat Lead The Return of Matt Hazzard (5/10): WTF!!!!! Really!!! Whats the point of this game? The only reason it got a 5 in my book is because of the easy to attain gamerscore.

Peggle (20/10): OMG!!! an awesome game indeed. I have not played a game this addicting since that helicopter game I found online one day. This game is so much fun just by yourself, doing a score duel with a buddy or even doing the party play with 3 others. Game is so much fun in so many levels and is definitely worth the 10 dollar price. GET IT NOW!!!!

Thats pretty much it. I also want to give a little plug to some up and coming sites since my last post. I would like everyone to check out LaGtv.com and UFraGtv.com as they just launched again a couple of weeks ago. They are a broadcasting site that do their own webshow Tuesdays and Thursdays nights at 8PM Pacific. Great content and great interviews. One thing I always loved about them is that they are there for the community and always give out cool prizes. Check em out and let me know what you think.

UFraGtv will also be the home of 360 GamerScore live webshow when it launches as well... This project is taking a little longer since I need to pay for a couple of things to get it started but I will let you guys know when it comes up!!!!!

Back to Normal

So thankfully I am back to normal and am successfully dual booting XP and Vista due to compatibility of certain programs. With that said, I am also back into gaming.

Disney's Sing It

I have taken myself into the dreaded Disney world... well maybe I just felt like singing. I was actually very surprised at how easy they made this game to adapt to those non-singers and most of the songs are very easy to follow, especially if you know them from watching the Disney movies. I think I will try to pick up the High School Musical 3 Sing it next. Unfortunately for me, I only have one mic so I am trying to get a hold of a 2nd mic so I can finish off the last 5 achievements.

The Bourne Conspiracy is my next game to tackle to get achievement points off of. Although not the best game in the world it is still a little entertaining. We shall see how difficult it holds up to getting the full 1000 points off of it.

Achievement Tip of the Day

So I know I havent dont one of these in a while but here is a small tip for you. Since I have been playing Disney's Sing It, I will share some of the little tips I have gained. First of all, you will need 2 mics momentarily to get ALL the achievements but as far as Duet Mode goes, you can still just sing by yourself on only one mic. Now one of the hardest achievements in this game is the one where you must score 750,000 points on a song in "On your Own" Mode. To do this, I am offering 2 ways to do it:

1)Sing a song in solo mode, and record yourself on your PC (Every Windows OS has a voice recorder and yes you will need a PC mic as well) so you can look at the pitches and play it back while in the mode you are suppose to be in and put the Xbox mic up to your speakers. For some of you that might be painful to hear.

2) The old fashioned way. Learn a song, get good at it and Memorize, Memorize, Memorize. Thats how I did it, but Im also a fan of Camp Rock and High School Musical (Don't judge me!!!)
